La Pepica valencian cuisine and its delicious rice, the views of the Mediterranean Sea, the sun and the good vibes are the best attractions of a restaurant of almost 120 years of history.
Its speciality is Pepica rice. It was made for the first time for the valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla when he visited the restaurant with other artists. Josefa prepared them the same rice but with the shellfish stripped to keep it from getting dirty. The visit of the Queen Sofía made her add rice with vegetables to the menu because she was vegetarian. Nowadays, this rice is maintained as another variety of La Pepica´s paellas.
